Allison Ulan has been practicing Yoga and Meditation since 1988. She combines Iyengar yoga, Ashtanga yoga and vipassana meditation to help people relax into alignment and mental clarity. She studied Ashtanga Yoga in India with Pattabhi Jois and he authorized her to teach in 2004. She is also certified through the Spirit Rock Mindful Yoga and Meditation Program. In 2000 she founded and co-directs Ashtanga Yoga Montreal. She created AYM to offer yoga as a holistic therapy which allows students to discover how a balanced body and mind lead to a joyful, meaningful life. Students find her approach balanced, practical, humorous, informed and always heart-centered.
